RC Plane flyover at the US Space Center/Space Camp

I flew my RC plane over the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. I flew around the Saturn V, Saturn I, and the Space Shot ride. On the east side is the OV-098 Space Shuttle Orbiter Pathfinder. At the front door of the museum is a Lockheed A-12 Oxcart. You can see the new facility nearing completion which will be the new home to the Saturn V that is laying on it's side. Older aerial shots will show where the Saturn V was on the back side of the lot. I launched from across the road and flew through the video display on my end. Landing, I acquired visual of the plane and guided it into my hand. The aircraft is a Multiplex EasyStar from hobby-lobby.com The camera in a KX131 camera (uncased) from rangevideo.com The video link is 2.4GHz from rangevideo.com My video display and recorder is a Sony MiniDV watchman. The radio link needs a better receive antenna.

RC Helicopter Beginner 5 months on with Gaui Hurricane 550

This is where I'm at on my journey of learning to fly an RC helicopter. I started nearly 5 months ago with no previous RC experience. I have logged 300 flights since then - the Hurricane 550 is quiet enough to practice hover in the back yard. Practising frequently is the key to progressing in this hobby. If you leave it too long between flights you find yourself having to put a lot of work in just to get back to were you left off instead of progressing. Conqueoring nose-in has been a major hurdle but the rewards make the effort worth while. I can now fly the heli around in circles in front of me comfortably. This is a great Hobby - packed with adrenalin & challenges! I love my Hurricane, it's a fantastic heli to learn on.

1.8 Meter Robbe Lama electric conversion that someone had out at Bayside RC in Fremont, CA. This heli was an amazing site as I had never seen "scale" RC Helicopters fly in person until this day. Bravo to its creator (Who is also its pilot). He did a fantastic job! Hope you like the video. Tech notes below are from another HQ/HD video I have posted but the process was the same to get maximum quality with my setup. (Tech Notes: Converted this file manually with a 3rd party program to Apple Intermediate Codec at 1280x768, resizing it from my camcorders 1920x1080 res, THEN imported it to iMovie. 4 Channell Havoc Heli From Air Hogs. Helix 360

This is the air hogs helix 360; it's the first 4 channel fully functional RC helicopter from air hogs. It can be controlled up and down, spin left and right (yaw), drift left and right (roll) and move forward and backwards. It retails for $79.99 and is for sale now at toys r us. The helicopter flies for a good 7 or 8 minutes and charges on the transmitter in about 30. Also the transmitter only takes 4 AA batteries, which is pretty nice. It also has a head light that can be switched on and off from the transmitter at the push of a button, but it's pretty dull and useless. Unfortunately it is infra red controlled meaning you can't fly it outside, you can't fly it more then 15 or 20 feet away from yourself, and bright overhead florescent lights can cause it to drop out of the sky. Inside the home you shouldn't have any range problems, but at the office, or flying club the bright florescent lights won't let you fly it more than 10 feet from yourself. Other then it being IR controlled it is very impressive how stable it is, it can do a hands free hover and the gyro is spot on. The left right roll is very fast, the forward flight speed is decent but nothing impressive, and the reverse is their but only barley. You can sort of fly backwards, but it takes some work. it is a lot of fun to fly and air hogs put a lot of work into this one. It truly is a 4 channel havoc heli.

How to Fly RC Helicopter Lesson 7 to 11

How to fly RC Heli for beginners, 6 Channel helis lessons 7 to 11 are here. In fact these are just few methods I used when I started with Helis and I did not have any RC Simulator. Simulators like Realflight G3.5 make great difference and you learn to fly Helis or planes in a week and become pro in a month, but if you do not have RC Sims, then it takes lots of patience and lots of practice.
